Bruce Bennin, MD

Bruce Bennin, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist who has practiced on the North Shore since 1976. Dr. Bennin grew up in Chicago, completed his undergraduate degree at Bradley University, and received his medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University in 1970. He completed a one-year internal medicine residency at Michael Reese Hospital in 1971 and a dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital in 1976. He was in private practice in Deerfield until becoming a founding partner of Dermatology Partners of the North Shore in 1999.Dr. Bennin is an associate attending physician at NorthShore University HealthSystem, Assistant Clinical Professor at Rush Medical Center, Adjunct Professor at Northwestern University, and consultant at Cook County Hospital. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, as well as a member of the Chicago Dermatological Society, the Great Lakes Dermatologic Society, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society of Dermatopatholgy.

Anne K. Bronner, MD

Anne K. Bronner, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist who has practiced on Chicago’s North Shore since 1985. She is a founding partner of Dermatology Partners of the North Shore. Dr. Bronner was raised in New York, attended Tufts University, completed her undergraduate education at The Johns Hopkins University, and received her medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1979. After an internship in internal medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, she returned to Baltimore, where she completed a dermatology residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She then spent two years as an instructor in the department of dermatology of The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, seeing patients and teaching medical students and residents. Dr. Bronner is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the Chicago Dermatological Society. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Medicine.

Jeffrey C. Draluck, MD

Jeffrey C. Draluck, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist who has practiced on the North Shore since 1994. Dr. Draluck grew up in New Jersey, completed his undergraduate studies at Emory University in Atlanta, and graduated from UMDNJ-Rutgers Medical School in 1989. He completed one year of internal medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, studied dermatopathology with Dr. A. Bernard Ackerman at New York University Hospital, and completed a dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital in 1994, where he served as chief resident. He joined a private practice in Deerfield until becoming a founding partner of Dermatology Partners of the North Shore in 1999. Dr. Draluck is a lecturer at the University of Illinois at Chicago, a consultant at Cook County Hospital in the division of dermatology, is on the medical staff of NorthShore University HealthSystem, and is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Chicago Dermatologic Society.

Peter S. Hallarman, MD

Peter S. Hallarman, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist who has practiced on Chicago’s North Shore since 1988. Dr. Hallarman grew up in New York, completed his undergraduate studies at Connecticut College in 1978, and graduated from the State University of New York – Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine in 1982. He completed an internal medicine residency at the Medical College of Virginia in 1985 and a dermatology residency at the University of Michigan in 1988. He was in private practice in Deerfield until becoming a founding partner of Dermatology Partners of the North Shore in 1999. Dr. Hallarman is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and is on the medical staff of NorthShore University HealthSystem. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, as well as a member of the Chicago Dermatological Society.

James G. Lahti, MD, MPH

James Lahti, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist. A native of the Chicagoland area, he received his medical degree from Northwestern Medical School and completed a residencies in internal medicine at Harvard University and a residency in dermatology at the University of Maryland, where he served as chief resident. He completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery at the Dermatologic SurgiCenter in Philadelphia and a master degree in public health from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a clinical instructor at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Lahti is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. He is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American College of Mohs Surgery, the Skin Cancer Foundation, the Chicago Dermatologic Society, and the Great Lakes Dermatology Society.

Gina C. Marafino, MD

Gina C. Marafino, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist who has practiced on the North Shore since 2003. Dr. Marafino grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago and graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Mary’s College of Notre Dame. She received her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in 1999 and was granted membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Marafino completed one year of internal medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital in 2003, where she served as chief resident. She joined Dermatology Partners of the North Shore in 2003. Dr. Marafino is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the Chicago Dermatologic Society.

Nicole P. Huffman, MD

Nicole P. Huffman, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist who has practiced on the North Shore since 2012. Dr. Huffman grew up in Connecticut, completed her undergraduate studies at Tufts University in Boston, undertook a year of research at Yale University, and graduated from New York Medical College in 2008. She completed her transitional year at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, followed by a dermatology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2012. Dr. Huffman joined Dermatology Partners of the North Shore in 2012. Dr. Huffman is on the medical staff of NorthShore University HealthSystem and is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology. She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, as well as a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the Chicago Dermatologic Society.

Bonnie Barsky, MD

Bonnie Barsky, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist who has practiced in the Chicago area since 1983. She grew up in a family of dermatologists in the western suburbs of Chicago and graduated from the University of Illinois School of Medicine in Chicago in 1979, after completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She interned at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge in internal medicine and completed her dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital in 1983, where she remained as attending dermatology staff teacher for several years before going into private practice in Oak Brook. In 1999, Dr.Barsky became a partner in the Highland Park practice of Darryl Bronson, MD, and in January 2013 joined Dermatology Partners of the North Shore. Dr. Barsky is on staff at NorthShore University HealthSystem. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Chicago Dermatological Society, Women’s Dermatologic Society, and Great Lakes Dermatology Society.

Julie Davidson, MPA

Julie Davidson, MPA, office manager for Dermatology Partners of the North Shore, completed her undergraduate degree in business administration at National Louis University and graduated with honors in 2000. During her undergraduate studies, she completed an internship at the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce. She then completed her graduate studies at Roosevelt University, earning a master’s of Public Administration, with a concentration in Health Administration, and graduating with honors in 2003. Julie has been employed with Dermatology Partners of the North Shore since 1999.

Shannon Bell, RN, BSN, CANS

Shannon Marie Bell, RN, BSN, CANS, is the Center for Aesthetics Director, Registered Nurse and CANS Certified Nurse Specialist who has dedicated her career to innovation, research, and teaching in nonsurgical aesthetics for over two decades.

She is a sought after speaker at national aesthetic meetings and for local and national media.  She is a Master Injector for Allergan, the makers of Botox Cosmetic.

Shannon is trusted and loved by her patients with whom her first goal is to build a rapport and create an individualized treatment plan for a natural, safe outcome to meet your aesthetic goals.

Kathy Walsh, Licensed Medical Esthetician

Kathy Walsh is a Licensed Medical Esthetician at the Center for Aesthetics and an innovator as one of the first laser hair removal providers and teachers.  She is also one of the first to accept and understand the vital importance of growth factors in skincare.

She is recognized by Lumenis and Candella for her expertise in laser and light rejuvenation.  She is certified by American Society of Laser Medicine Surgery and has mastered the science of skincare through Skin Medica University.

Kathy develops lasting relationships with her patients and takes the time and interest to build a rapport and individualized treatment plan.

Kara Cardelli, Licensed Medical Esthetician

Kara, a Licensed Medical Esthetician, has a decade of dedication and advanced training in Aesthetic Sciences, including skincare, laser light, and energy based technologies.

Kara has advanced training from Coolsculpting University and Skin Medica University, which gives her the advantage of comprehensive consultation skills and multiple treatment options.
