Dr. James Lahti is a double board-certified, fellowship -trained dermatologist and Mohs surgeon.

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD) and a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery (FACMS).

 

Dr. Lahti is a native of the Chicagoland area. He received his M.D. degree from Northwestern Medical School and completed residencies in Internal Medicine at Harvard University and Dermatology at the University of Maryland, where he served as Chief Resident. He completed a Fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the Dermatologic Surgicenter in Philadelphia. He also received a Master Degree in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley.

He is a clinical instructor at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine where he has taught Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Residents.

Dr. Lahti is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American College of Mohs Surgery, the Chicago Dermatological Society, the Illinois Dermatological Society, and the Great Lakes Dermatological Society.

 

Since founding the DPNS Surgical Center, Dr. Lahti has performed over 40,000 Mohs surgical procedures.
